Chapter 2115: Chapter 2115: King of the Pirates (6)

Chuzheng contemplated how to get rid of the Island Master and take his place.

Taking advantage of the night when no one was around, Chuzheng went out for a walk to familiarize herself with the territory.

This walk led to a problem.

In the dead of night, Chuzheng saw several people sneakily carrying burlap sacks to the seaside. So late, and acting like this, Chuzheng’s sense of justice surged, she felt she should do the right thing and immediately followed them.

Those people loaded the burlap sacks onto a raft, rowed a short distance into the sea, then tossed the sacks into the sea, quickly rowing back.

Chuzheng stood on the shore, looking at the sea surface, with a mist in the distance seeming to envelop the entire island.

Earlier, Chuzheng heard Zhuang Ping from the temporary host family say that there was always fog around this island, even during the day, but not clear. Without pirates to guide them, they wouldn’t venture into this area.

Therefore, those who were captured had no chance of escaping.

The group returned, tied the raft, and left together.

After they left, Chuzheng went into the sea to fish out the burlap sack, and under the faint light, saw clearly the contents of the sack… a person?

A person whose face was completely unrecognizable.

Who knows what they experienced before death, it looked terrifying.

As the cold wind blew through the night, Chuzheng felt a chill in her heart, and with the burlap sack, returned to shore.

The next day, Chuzheng saw the same sneaky people throwing burlap sacks, this time Chuzheng promptly fished up two.

She trailed… followed them all the way to the Island Master’s residence, watching them enter the Island Lord’s Mansion.

Over the next few days, Chuzheng gradually collected five sacks. All the sacks were arranged by her in the woods. If anyone saw this eerie scene, they would likely be scared stiff.

“Miss, why… why did you call me here?” Zhuang Ping shuddered as he looked around, feeling a chill at the back of his neck, deeply unsettled.

Chuzheng walked ahead, with steps neither hurried nor slow, very leisurely.

“Miss?” Zhuang Ping didn’t get a response, called again.

Chuzheng stopped, pointed to a dark row nearby: “Move those back.”

“Wh… what?” Zhuang Ping cautiously looked toward that direction, but could only see dark oblong shapes, unable to discern anything clearly.

Chuzheng: “Believe me, you won’t want to see them.”

Zhuang Ping: “…”

Zhuang Ping suppressed his curiosity, began moving them with difficulty.

As he touched the items, he could roughly guess what was inside…

This is too frightening!

But he didn’t dare to speak, scared to death.

–

“Huff huff huff…”

Chaotic footsteps suddenly came from afar, Zhuang Ping was startled, looked toward the source of the sound.

Shouts gradually rose.

“Chase!”

“Up ahead!”

“Two ran towards the harbor, hurry and chase them!”

Zhuang Ping shivered, the burlap sack in his hand fell to the ground with a heavy thud.

This sound was rare and abrupt in the silent darkness, startling the figures who ran out from over there.

Both parties stared wide-eyed, the atmosphere extremely awkward.

Firelight gradually appeared among the trees, moving towards them, and would soon reach them.

“Aren’t you capturing us too?” The two figures trembled and asked.

Chuzheng: “Do we look like that to you?”

“…”

Not really.

Although in the pitch-black night, it wasn’t clear what these two were doing, just judging by their covert and fireless behavior, it must not be anything good.

The footsteps and firelight drew closer…

“Miss…” Zhuang Ping returned to his senses, asked nervously: “What now?”

“What’s the panic?” Chuzheng kicked the burlap sack off the side of the slope: “Go down.”

“Oh oh oh!” Zhuang Ping was at a loss, doing whatever Chuzheng said.

The two people over there, seeing Chuzheng and Zhuang Ping disappear into the darkness, were possibly frightened stiff, not moving for a while.

“Not coming?” Chuzheng suddenly popped her head out again, asked the two.

“!!!”

The two actually didn’t know where to run, and with Chuzheng’s invitation, they immediately ran towards her.

–

Footsteps passed from above, firelight flickered, stretching the trees into bizarre shadows.

The firelight gradually receded, the surroundings plunged into darkness.

They were now staying in a cave, the entrance covered by hanging vines, perfectly concealing the entrance.

Chuzheng sat on a rock inside the cave, Zhuang Ping sat on the ground gasping for air, not concerned about appearances.

The other two hugged each other, curled up in the corner of the cave, only heavy breathing filling the air.

Outside grew completely silent, no sound could be heard, with one person shakily asking: “Why did you help us?”

Chuzheng’s tone was icy: “Otherwise, shall I kill you?”

“…”

What kind of logic is that?

But this girl seems very fierce… the two were a bit afraid to speak.

The pair were a male and female, the woman named He Tong, the man named Zhang Rui. Both were captured this time, didn’t know each other previously.

The escape attempt included them and three others, but they got separated, unsure if the others were caught.

“Although we don’t know why you helped us, still thank you… thank you.” The girl was easily moved, He Tong weakly expressed thanks to Chuzheng.

[Congratulations, Sis, you’ve got a Thank-You Card ×1]

Zhang Rui followed He Tong’s lead in thanking, obviously wary of her, Chuzheng did not receive a Thank-You Card.

Tsk.

No matter, at least one card, not a waste of saving.

“Wh… what is this?” He Tong suddenly spoke, she felt something slippery next to her.

Simultaneously, Zhuang Ping lit the fire stick, dispelling the cave’s darkness.

He Tong’s vision brightened, she saw clearly what she touched.

In that instant, He Tong’s body went cold, her mouth uncontrollably went wide, screaming.

“Ah…”

Zhuang Ping shivered, rushed over to cover He Tong’s mouth.

“Don’t scream!”

He Tong’s eyes widened in fear, all color drained from her already pale face.

Zhuang Ping was scared too, but he had no choice now: “Do you want to draw those people back here?”

He Tong tearfully shook her head upon hearing Zhuang Ping’s words.

Zhuang Ping tried loosening his grip, seeing she truly wasn’t screaming, fully released her.

He Tong immediately clung to Zhang Rui, both showing terrified expressions, trembling.

Zhuang Ping dragged the burlap sack further inside.

He hadn’t opened it before; maybe it tore when rolling against the rocks earlier, showing what was inside.

Even with mental preparation, the sudden view was spine-chilling for Zhuang Ping, inducing dread.

There’s…

Is this a person?

So disgusting.

Zhuang Ping saw disgust not from decomposition but the body itself was universally disturbing.

Was this done by that girl?

Might she kill us too?

As Zhuang Ping thought, fear intensified, and he began trembling like He Tong and Zhang Rui.

Chuzheng: “…” Calm down, I don’t eat people.
