Chapter 3157: Chapter 3246: His Hormones Are Out of Whack

“Ding-dong—”

“Ding-dong, ding-dong, ding-dong—”

Sunny pressed the doorbell twice; there was no response from inside, and she was about to turn around to ask if no one was home. Then she heard a hoarse male voice from inside, “Who is it?”

“Your sister,” she lowered her voice, jokingly.

“I don’t have a sister, you’ve got the wrong place.” Jeremy Payne was quite cautious, fearing it might be paparazzi outside.

Olivia Lewis kicked the door, dropping the act, “It’s me, open the door.”

The door suddenly swung open—

“Why are you…” Before he could finish speaking, the stubble-faced man saw Lydia Bell following Olivia, and instantly, like a mouse seeing a cat, he screeched and ran inside.

Lydia was startled by his reaction, thinking she had done something wrong, and anxiously asked, “Was I… not supposed to come?”

“Ignore him, he’s having a hormonal imbalance. He’ll be fine in a bit, let’s go in first.”

Olivia was still unclear why someone suddenly ran as if his tail had been stepped on—it’s just because his image was a total mess. He was casually in pajamas, not even wearing slippers, and appeared unkempt in front of the woman he liked with a scruffy beard, so of course, he ran quickly to tidy himself up.

“Oh.” Lydia now completely believed what she said, and after changing her shoes inside, she pondered, “Does Senior Jeremy also have a hormonal imbalance problem? If I had known, I would have brought some health supplements for him.”

“Pfft—” The more Sunny knew her, the more she liked her; amused, she gave Olivia a sideways glance and explained with a smile, “Lydia, don’t listen to her! She just loves to talk nonsense. Jeremy doesn’t have a hormonal imbalance; she’s just saying random things.”

“Uh…” Lydia responded half-heartedly.

At this moment, someone who hurried into the washroom was both washing his face and shaving, and being late, happening to hear their conversation, he chimed in, “Who’s having a hormonal imbalance?”

He hadn’t heard clearly over the loud sound of running water that they were talking about him in there; he instinctively looked at Lydia, concerned, “Lydia, are you having a hormonal imbalance?”

“I’m not.” Lydia was still a bit embarrassed facing him, after all yesterday Jeremy almost confessed to her, and she had rejected him. Had Olivia and others not been coming today, she definitely wouldn’t have felt comfortable coming alone, “Isn’t it you having the hormonal imbalance?”

“Huh?” Jeremy was baffled, pointing at himself, “Me?”

He quickly caught on to who was the culprit, glaring at the woman like a sofa warlord, “Sister Olivia, you’re blackmailing me again! May I ask you, how do men have a hormonal imbalance?”

“Hahaha, you ran like a cat whose tail got stepped on, and it reminded me of when girls are on their period. Just a joke, just a joke~ Don’t be angry, dear~” Olivia laughed loudly with no sincerity, almost bursting out with laughter.

Jeremy helplessly gave her a side glance, then noticed Lydia was still standing, and hurriedly said, “Lydia, sit. I’ll get you guys a bottle of drinks.”

Lydia saw his left hand wrapped in a bandage and remembered his determined grip from last night; she pursed her lips, “Let me do it, Senior Jeremy, it’s inconvenient for your hand. Where’s the fridge?”

Jeremy also wanted her to get familiar with his place; after all, who knows, they might live here together after marriage. He was very willing to share, “It’s over by the kitchen, walk forward and it’s the second room at the corner.”

“Mmm, okay.”
