Chapter 310: Chapter 70: Final Victory

Robson ran through the snarling creature with his spear. Seeing that the Array had failed, he headed back to the battlefield.

“Lord Viscount! I’ve already assigned men to keep these Beastmen occupied. We should keep moving.”

Before Robson even reached the battlefield, Knight Commander Elon was already in front of him.

Hearing this, Robson looked toward the battlefield.

The Fengman Knight Order and the cavalry units were composed almost entirely of Heavy Cavalry. The Fengman Knight Order, in particular, was one of the kingdom’s top ten elite forces!

Compared to the Beastmen, the humans were already an elite force, and now they also had the advantage of the terrain.

In the first clash on the battlefield, the Beastman Corps was instantly shattered. Everywhere you looked, Beastmen were being run through by lances.

“Good! Cavalry!!”

“Keep charging!”

“Cavalry! Keep charging! Don’t stop!”

After shouting to the cavalry charging down the slope, Robson wheeled his horse around and rode off.

…..

“Your Highness! Your Highness! The humans are breaking through!”

“Your Highness! The humans are breaking through!”

On the other side, Prince Odoruo was stunned by the news.

The first thing he felt wasn’t fear, but desolate sorrow.

He had sent Elder Linton to intercept the humans on the road. The fact that they were charging through now could only mean one thing: he, Odoruo, had lost another old friend.

“Your Highness? We have to go, quickly! Castro and the others are just ahead!”

“Your Highness…”

“Go! Go now!” Prince Odoruo commanded.

“Everyone! Give the potions to your mounts!”

…..

North of Wayne Mountain, Castro and Tec had gathered their forces—nearly two thousand routed troops.

This was essentially the last glimmer of hope for the Eastern Line Beastmen.

Castro looked back at the army camp, his face etched with worry.

The army’s composition was incredibly diverse, including Centaurs, Gray Dwarves, and even a considerable number of Gnolls and Extraordinaries.

But they all had one thing in common: each had been defeated by that same human army.

You couldn’t even speak of morale with an army like this. An air of pessimism hung over the entire force.

Castro wanted to say something to raise their spirits, but even he could only hope that Prince Odoruo’s reinforcements would arrive in time.

“Chieftain… Chieftain!”

“His Highness the Prince is coming! They’re almost here!”

Just as Castro, Tec, and Fido were discussing their next move.

That’s right, Fido, the Chieftain of the Bloodthirsty Jackal Wolfmen, was also present. The main reason was that the Beastman army had few effective fighting units left. Half of the Bloodthirsty Jackal Wolfmen had been diverted to attack Wayne Mountain, while the other half had come to the Beastmen’s pre-arranged gathering point.

“The Prince is here!” Castro exclaimed.

Among the Eastern Line Beastmen, Prince Odoruo was like a junior Grantham, always serving as their anchor.

With the entire Beastman army facing a total rout, everyone was counting on Prince Odoruo to save the day. How could they not be thrilled to hear he was coming?

“His Highness the Prince is here! He’s here to save us!”

“His Highness the Prince is here…”

As the news spread, the morale of the Beastman Army noticeably improved.

“Quickly! Come with me to welcome His Highness!” Castro said hurriedly.

…..

Prince Odoruo was frantic. He could now see with his own eyes the dust cloud kicked up by the approaching human Cavalry.

Prince Odoruo had originally deployed his Infantry, hoping to slow the advance of the human Cavalry.

But he hadn’t expected that the Beastman Infantry Corps, his pride and joy, would be so easily shattered by these humans.

On reflection, it made sense. Prince Odoruo’s Infantry Corps had no time to form ranks, and they were facing the humans’ terrifying Fengman Knight Order. How could an Infantry Corps possibly defend against such a force?

“Your Highness! Castro and the others are just ahead!”

“Your Highness! It’s our army!”

After facing the Human Corps directly, the Soldiers beside Prince Odoruo finally understood just how terrifying these humans were.

Though none of them feared death, who would really want to go meet the Beast God if they could live?

’Why are they coming out?!’ Prince Odoruo wondered as he watched the Beastman Corps march out of their encampment.

’He had human pursuers right on his tail! Heavy Cavalry, at that!’

’There are nearly a thousand Heavy Cavalry behind me, and our allies in front are leading their main force out of the camp? What kind of maneuver is this?’

“Could it be… they’re just too excited to see Your Highness?”

…

“Chieftain! Something’s not right! It looks like someone’s following His Highness the Prince!”

“Humans! Humans are charging in behind His Highness!”

Humans!

After the last chase, Castro now felt a lingering terror at the very word.

’Could it be that His Highness was also…’ For a moment, Castro’s mind was a complete muddle.

’If even Prince Odoruo was defeated by those humans, was there anyone left who could possibly stand against them?’

“What are you doing? What are you all thinking about?

His Highness is in danger, and this is how you react?”

At this critical moment, it was surprisingly Fido, who usually kept the lowest profile, who stepped forward.

A group of Beastman Officers looked at Fido, their eyes, with few exceptions, filled with disdain.

Since they had all been defeated by those humans before, they had since shared stories of their respective losses.

In the Beastman Officers’ shared and embellished tales, that Human Corps had been transformed into devils straight from Hell.
