“I just remembered. You were the little fellow who cowered behind the tree,” theRed-Eyed King Crocodile jeered.

It rolled over the mud with its huge body, causing a mess everywhere.

Its scratched the ground with its sharp claws. Dark brown soil was exposed as it crushed the grass in patches.

Flamy became even more angry after hearing what the Red-Eyed King Crocodile had said. It spat a few fireballs from its mouth. Those red flames caused ripples when they smashed on the surface of the King Crocodile.

The King Crocodile continued to conduct the water flow along its body surface to avoid being hit. The swamp it was standing in was its greatest source of water.

It didn’t fear of being burned by the flames since it was in the swamp.

In fact, water elements were meant to prevail over fire elements, not to mention that they were surrounded by water. The King Crocodile felt relaxed.

It bent down to suck in a mouthful of water and spat it towards Flamy in the sky. However, Flamy managed to dodge the attack.

[Monster Introduction]: A giant crocodile who lives in the swamp region. Arrogant yet powerful, it has strong attacks and lives in a group.

“It has wind element abilities. You need to be careful. Don’t get hit by its wind element attack,” Gao Peng said to Flamy through their Blood Contract.

Meanwhile, Qian Wuliang was communicating with the King Crocodile through their Blood Contract. “The crane is a Fire-type animal that can fly. You need to watch out, and also—”

“Stop nagging!” said the Red-Eyed King Crocodile coldly.

Qian Wuliang paused.

Fortunately, he had already grown used to it. Being shouted at by the monster was his daily routine.

“You need to bear in mind that I’m not afraid of you. I’m just too lazy to argue with you since you’re my familiar,” Qian Wuliang disputed. The relationship between the monster trainer and monster was permanent for better or worse.

When a familiar died, its monster trainer would suffer from a headache, and their body condition would be weak for a long period of time. The more important the familiar was to them, the more serious the consequences suffered by the monster trainers were.

Likewise, the death of the monster trainer would bring permanent damage to the familiar. Moreover, once the familiar had the subjective consciousness to kill its own monster trainer, they would suffer an even more serious punishment.

Therefore, even if they had agreed and signed a Blood Contract, the monster trainer had to consider his or her attitude towards the familiar. They couldn’t be treated like a servant.

After all, this was a Blood Contract, not a master and servant contract.

Generally, the familiar would obey the rules of the contract. Most of the familiars’ minds weren’t complicated. Thus, with a little technique, the familiar would fight and go on an adventure along with its monster trainer.

Of course, there were also a minority of delicate relationships between monster trainers and familiars, so nothing was absolute.

The flame transformed into several chains and then whipped the King Crocodile. Sparks were flying in all directions. The King Crocodile seemed to be surrounded by countless snakes of fire.

“Roar!” The King Crocodile gave out a deep roar. When it realised that the enemy wasn’t coming down, it pulled itself back and laid in deeper water. A steady flow of water from its surroundings had transformed into a water shield to defend against the flames.

“Do you think you can block my flames with water?” Flamy’s eyes flashed with anger.

“Well then! I’ll burn your skin down and dry out every drop of water inside you!”

As it flapped its wings, the giant light red wings looked as if they were creating a tremendous fire. Several light red feathers were dancing in the flames.

Boom, boom, boom—

Flames dropped from the sky.

The flame started to burn down the surroundings. Everything within a few hundred yards was shrouded in the sea of flames. The flame had rose up to 30 feet high. One wouldn’t be able to see such an incredible scene from the outside.

Although Gao Peng was hundreds of feet away from the fire, he could still feel the heat crashing into his cheeks.

The green grass beneath their feet wilted at a speed that was visible to the naked eye.

“That was amazing!” One of the ladies from the Zhao family was stunned, with her eyes and mouth wide open. She didn’t even blink her eyes.

“I never thought that a battle between Lord-tier monsters could be so terrifying.” A young man from the Sun Family felt his eyes grow drier as he continued to watch the battle with his eyes squinted.

Although their family also owned a Lord-tier monster, they had never seen two Lord-tier monsters battle against each other. This level of battle was completely different from a Commander-tier battle.

A scientist had once done an investigation proving that the damage dealt by a Normal-tier monster was equivalent to a giant pre-Cataclysm beast. An Elite-tier monster would have to be well-prepared beforehand and fully armed with special weapons in order to kill it without taking severe damage.

Starting from Lord-tier, there was a great leap in the difference between powers. The Commander-tier was one of the tiers with the greatest span in strength.

Once they reached the Commander tier, the aftermath of their battle could destroy the entire street. Most of the common weapons used by humans would be unable to harm them.

Before that, he had still had no idea how a battle’s aftermath could destroy an entire street. Well now, he had finally acquired the chance to see it himself.

He was quite excited at the same time, as his own Lord-tier familiar was also powerful.

Bang, bang, bang.

Along with the heavy footsteps, a giant shadow trodded out from the sea of flames.

Its enormous tail and thick skin were burning with fire. The moss that had grown on its skin had burnt into ashes and kept on dropping off while it was running.

“Roar!” The Red-Eyed King Crocodile opened its mouth, white smoke blowing out from its throat. It was releasing the overwhelming heat from its body.

The giant crocodile was like a chimney as white smoke kept on coming out from its mouth.

Flamy’s eyes flashed with anger, and it flapped both wings again. Over ten feathers had fallen and transformed into flames. Traces of fire flew out from its wings, dragging out long strings of fire in the air.

In the next second, these fire strings fell down like meteors. The fire was growing stronger and stronger, and eventually, it crushed into the ground and burnt with the fire elements in the air.

The flames were getting worse. Lots of feathers kept falling off of Flamy’s body, adding to the sea of fire.

Gao Peng had already stepped hundreds of feet back so that he wouldn’t be affected by the battle’s aftermath.

The entire field had been burnt into ashes. The water in the swamp had boiled. Fishes and prawns were dead, their bodies floating on the water’s surface.

Some areas were now exposing dry land; the water in the puddles had completely evaporated.

The water from the other swamp was flowing in slowly. However, it wasn’t as fast as the speed it was evaporating.

The King Crocodile roared insanely. However, Flamy, who was up in the sky, didn’t try to come down. It continued to burn the King Crocodile with its flames.

The King Crocodile felt that it was losing too much water from its body. Therefore, it demanded water.

The scales on its body’s surface had been burnt to red, shining with a black-red radiance. Its skin had cracked and some parts had even been split, exposing the burnt flesh underneath.

“Roar!” The Red-Eyed King Crocodile turned and ran away, escaping to the deeper part of the swamp immediately.

Thump, thump, thump—

The hellish sound was gone.

The people present almost dropped their jaws when the King Crocodile was running away from the battle.

They would never have thought that the Red-Eyed King Crocodile would run away. This was completely unexpected.

“You…” Qian Wuliang was confused, and he felt ashamed when the people watching looked at him at the same time.

How could it have run away so suddenly?
