Chapter 1838: Chapter 1683: Escape Game 35

It’s not that the two don’t want to wear other clothes, but previously Shuangshuang and Xiao Zhongjing found these skirts and baggy shorts that look nice but are inconvenient to move in, and there were no other clothes.

However, based on the previous game experience, Shuangshuang thinks that the game shouldn’t completely refresh the clothes they prepared.

Sure enough, after opening the doors of two rooms, Shuangshuang found backpacks piled together, with names written on them, indicating that all players’ equipment is here.

Shuangshuang found her backpack, and it was the same as the last time she entered the game. Opening it, sure enough, the clothes and shoes she had prepared for herself were inside.

Xiao Zhongjing also found his backpack, with clothes and shoes inside as well. Xiao Zhongjing breathed a sigh of relief, not worrying about walking barefoot anymore.

The weather is very hot now, so when preparing clothes, Shuangshuang considered that the seasons in the game might be different from the real world, which is why her clothes are in three layers.

The innermost is a lady’s t-shirt and long pants, the outer layer is sportswear for spring and autumn, and the outermost is a winter jacket and warm fleece-lined pants.

The shoes are single-layered sneakers, but Shuangshuang wears many pairs of socks and wool socks. So if it’s cold, wear more wool socks, and if it’s not cold, wear single socks.

Xiao Zhongjing watched Shuangshuang prepare her clothes and naturally followed suit, preparing three layers of clothes.

When entering the game, Shuangshuang was wearing a bikini but didn’t feel even the slightest coldness at all, clearly indicating that the game time is midsummer.

Shuangshuang immediately took out the t-shirt, long pants, single socks, and sneakers, storing the other clothes in the backpack for backup. In case the game’s weather doesn’t follow the usual norms, she would have clothes to wear.

Xiao Zhongjing also prepared simple t-shirts, long pants, and sneakers. Just like Shuangshuang’s outfit, the two separated into two rooms to change clothes.

Just as Shuangshuang changed her clothes and picked up her backpack to head out, she saw a beauty in a Bohemian-style long dress walk in.

Shuangshuang remembers this beauty is named He Qianyin, like her, entering the game for the third time. She was always quiet, speaking softly.

Seeing Shuangshuang, He Qianyin nodded and greeted with a smile before speaking: “It’s Miss Miao, hello, I’m He Qianyin.”

Shuangshuang nodded: “Hello, I’m Miao Shuangshuang. You introduced yourself before, I remember you. Are you here to find equipment? Everyone’s backpacks are in the room behind.”

He Qianyin warmly smiled and nodded: “Yes, I came to change clothes. This dress, though beautiful, is inconvenient for running or fighting. Thank you for the reminder.”

“No problem, just a small favor, you go change clothes then, I won’t disturb you,” Shuangshuang smiled casually, carrying her backpack past He Qianyin, heading to the lounge.

Shuangshuang didn’t plan to go to the deck. Though there were many people there to exchange information, but since the game hasn’t officially started yet, the information exchanged is just the newcomers’ understanding of the game. Going there holds no value.

Most importantly, it’s hot on the deck with the sun blazing down, staying too long would leave one sunburned. The lounge is better, with air conditioning offering a cool, comfortable environment, as well as fruits, drinks, and red wine.

Although Shuangshuang doesn’t like drinking wine, having a beverage while eating some fruits is quite nice.

Shuangshuang hadn’t been in the lounge long before Xiao Zhongjing followed in, sitting beside Shuangshuang and forked two pieces of watermelon, then patted his belly.

Feeling a bit hungry, Xiao Zhongjing couldn’t help but look at Shuangshuang: “Just eating fruit won’t fill you up. Miss Miao, are you hungry? Let’s go see if there’s anything to eat in the kitchen.”

Shuangshuang also felt a bit hungry, so she nodded: “Alright, let’s see where the kitchen is at.”

The kitchen was easy to find, located on one side of the cabin. Inside, Xiao Zhongjing couldn’t help but nod: “This kitchen is quite spacious, and there’s a big fridge here. There should be ingredients.”

With that said, Xiao Zhongjing reached out to open the fridge door, exclaiming: “There are quite a lot of supplies in here. Frozen dumplings, steaks, bacon ham, bread, even tomato sauce and pasta.”

Xiao Zhongjing turned back to consult Shuangshuang: “With so many ingredients, what should we eat?”

Shuangshuang thought for a moment and replied: “I’ll stir-fry some pasta and grill a few steaks.”

“Can we eat these steaks? They won’t be human meat, right?” Xiao Zhongjing was always worried about meat in horror games. Unless he saw the ingredients were truly animal meat, he was reluctant to eat.

Shuangshuang took the steak for a closer look and sniffed it: “This is beef, not some strange meat, you can safely eat it.”

Xiao Zhongjing didn’t ask why Shuangshuang could tell the difference between human and beef. As long as Shuangshuang said it wasn’t weird meat, he was reassured to eat it. Some things shouldn’t be questioned.

Shuangshuang hadn’t expected Xiao Zhongjing to consider so much, she just knew beef’s smell. After all, the unique tang of beef or mutton can’t be mimicked by other meats.

Shuangshuang quickly prepared the meal with nimble hands. A huge plate of seafood pasta plus four steaks, with her increasing meals as she had more martial arts training.

Looking at the frozen dumplings, Xiao Zhongjing craved dumplings. Not daring to make meaty ones, he cooked two vegetarian dumplings, treating them as his dish to serve on the table.

As Shuangshuang was eating, the newly changed He Qianyin entered the kitchen, evidently hungry too. Seeing Shuangshuang and Xiao Zhongjing, she commented: “I knew I smelled food, turns out Miss Miao, you’re cooking. You have quite a skill.”

The reason for not praising Xiao Zhongjing’s culinary skills was that He Qianyin thought a handsome man like him wouldn’t be the type to cook.

Shuangshuang glanced at her, casually saying: “You’re hungry too. My steaks are freshly cooked and I haven’t eaten them. If you don’t mind, you can join me.”

He Qianyin gratefully replied: “That’s so kind of you. I can tell your cooking is delicious. Before I came, I thought I’d end up making a disaster if I cooked myself.”

Saying so, He Qianyin took a plate and grabbed utensils, sitting down. She took two steaks from Shuangshuang’s plate, her eyes occasionally glancing at the pasta before Shuangshuang.

Shuangshuang immediately understood: “I haven’t tasted this side of pasta yet. Would you like to try some? My pasta is pretty good.”

He Qianyin thanked again, then took out half a plate of pasta. Shuangshuang’s plate was exceptionally large, while He Qianyin’s was quite small.

Even though she took half a plate out, it was actually just a small portion from a corner of Shuangshuang’s plate.
