Chapter 390: Benefits from the Bio-Experimental Laboratory

“Oh? What are the benefits?” Jiang Fei was pleasantly surprised.

“Firstly, you can summon those Bio-Experimental Beasts to fight against your opponents when needed,” 0541 said.

“Yeah!” Jiang Fei nodded. Those Bio-Experimental Beasts were made of steel and had stronger battling capabilities than most Level 2 Metahumans. Moreover, there were as many as 500 of them and that indeed posed a significant threat. However, the only problem was that Jiang Fei must eliminate all his opponents once he summoned these beasts. Otherwise, if news of the Bio-Experimental Hounds were spread externally, the Japanese would realize the connection between him and the missing Bio-Experimental Laboratory. By then, they would probably also expose the truth about the Research and Development Lab!

“Apart from that, I can also start producing some Bio-Experimental potions after acquiring the Bio-Experimental Laboratory!” 0541 said.

“Weren’t you able to do that before?” Jiang Fei asked curiously. After all, even without the Bio-Experimental Laboratory, 0541 was able to produce healing potions, the Empowering Pill, and even the Ant Milk.

“Those were all low-grade potions. With the Bio-Experimental Laboratory, we can produce higher-grade items!” 0541 said.

“For example?” Jiang Fei still could not quite understand what 0541 was saying.

“For example, this!” 0541 displayed an image through Jiang Fei’s ring.

“This…” Jiang Fei’s eyes widened.

Energy Crystal (Strengthening Item, Legendary)

Use: Provide you with an extra Energy Pool!

Remark: You may only unlock the Energy Pool that matches your Class. Backup Energy Pools cannot recover energy automatically and must be replenished via potions!

“What you mean is…” Jiang Fei murmured in disbelief.

“That’s right! Although you were diagnosed by those martial artists as not being able to possess energy, you are now able to have it with the help of the game’s potions through the Bio-Experimental Laboratory!” 0541 affirmed Jiang Fei’s thoughts.

“Can I become a true martial artist?” Jiang Fei exclaimed excitedly. Although he can acquire some abilities akin to a Metahuman through his equipment, the equipment’s skills had long cooldown periods. While this was not a huge problem to him in the game, it was a huge obstacle in the real world. Therefore, when Jiang Fei found out he could acquire his own energy through the Energy Crystal, he became very happy!

“To be more accurate, after acquiring the energy, you will become more like a mutant than a martial artist. The reason is that the energy acquired through such methods cannot be enhanced through training. Using the potion will allow you to have energy levels equivalent to a Level 2 Metahuman!” 0541 explained.

“Ah? Does that mean I will always be a weakling?” How many of this potion can I consume?” Jiang Fei was slightly dissatisfied with his findings. He already had capabilities stronger than a Level 2 Metahuman. If he could only acquire such a small amount of energy, what difference would it make?

“Of course not. Although you can only use this potion once, you can still improve your capabilities by combining it with two other types of potions,” 0541 said as he projected two other items from the game.

Ant Egg Essence (Potion, Excellent)

Effect: Every 10ml permanently increases 100 Maximum Mana Points!

Elemental Water (Potion, Legendary)

Effect: Instantly replenishes the drinker’s Mana Points and establishes Mana Recovery which permanently increases the rate of recovering Mana Points.

“D*mn! I nearly forgot about these!” Jiang Fei was stunned. He had obtained these items some time ago. However, he had kept them in the spatial ring for so long that he almost forgot they existed!

“With the three of these potions combined, not only will you acquire a significant amount of power, you will also be able to recover the energy in your body through resting,” 0541 explained.

“Hole cr*p! Come on! Make some for me right now!” Jiang Fei laughed as he said.

“I am unable to produce any at the moment.” 0541’s words nearly made Jiang Fei choke.

“D*mn it! Didn’t you say you were able to create them after we acquire the Bio-Experimental Laboratory?” Jiang Fei said unhappily.

Jiang Fei had changed from being overjoyed a moment ago to now feeling utterly disappointed.

When he first found out that 0541 could produce these kinds of potions, Jiang Fei had a thought of forming a group of Metahuman soldiers to fight the Japanese’ Bio-Humans! This was the only effective way he could think of!

“First of all, producing these potions require a tremendous amount of energy. I am currently facing a lack of such energy!” 0541 said helplessly.

“Oh!” Jiang Fei nodded. In order to rescue Jiang Fei, 0541 had expended nearly all of its remaining energy. Therefore, Jiang Fei could fully sympathize with its inability to produce the potions.

“Besides, energy alone is insufficient to produce high-grade Bio-Potions. We still need Bio-Samples!” 0541 said.

“D*mn!” Jiang Fei rolled his eyes. He saw it coming that 0541 would make him do more work!

“Spill it out. What kind of Bio-Sample do you need?” Jiang Fei asked.

“The Bio-Samples needed for the Energy Crystal and Elemental Water are readily available in the Bio-Experimental Laboratory. However, there isn’t much in storage and I would only be able to produce ten units of each. As for the Ant Egg Essence, the Bio-Sample needed is rather easy to acquire. All you need to get is a Level 4 Metahuman’s blood! Of course, the higher the level, the better,” 0541 said. It came across obviously to Jiang Fei that if he wanted to acquire a Level 2 martial artist’s energy, then 0541 would be able to produce the Energy Crystal and Elemental Water as soon as Jiang Fei replenished its energy. However, if Jiang Fei wanted to become even stronger, he would have to find a way to obtain a Level 4 Metahuman’s blood!

“D*mn! Are you kidding me? I have to get a Level 4 Metahuman’s blood?” Jiang Fei said as the corners of his mouth twitched unpleasantly.

“It does not have to be from a human. The blood from a beast at the same level would do.” 0541 added.

“Rubbish! Do you think I can defeat a Level 4 beast?” Jiang Fei said angrily.

“I have no other suggestions…” 0541 said helplessly.

“Forget it. There is no point in pondering on this any further. Let’s get you some energy first!” Jiang Fei rolled his eyes again.

“That’s right! I am in urgent need of energy right now. If you do not find any new energy in the next seven days, I will have to enter Hibernation Mode to reduce energy usage,” 0541 said.

“Sigh! Energy, energy, energy. It’s always about energy. When will this ever end?” Jiang Fei sighed helplessly as he steered the Gigantic Saber toward home.

In the evening, when Jiang Fei finally made his way back to the suburbs, he landed at a place where nobody else was present. He was fortunate enough to hitch a ride back into town.

Once he arrived back in Manda Square, it was already eight o’clock in the evening. He had a quick bite before walking sluggishly back into his own room.

When his mother saw him, she felt conflicting emotions. As Han Tianyu had given a very good excuse with the help of Jiang Fei’s school, Jiang Fei’s parents were made to believe that he was constantly joining competitions in various cities due to his excellent grades. Therefore, Jiang Fei’s parents were both very proud of him. However, seeing how Jiang Fei looked tired all the time made Jiang Fei’s mother slightly worried too.

When Jiang Fei lied down on his bed, he could finally relax his mind. The past two days had been overwhelming. However, despite the dangers he faced, he had made quite some gains too. As long as he could find some more energy, 0541 would be able to produce the Energy Crystal and Elemental Water. With those items, he would be able to use his energy to attack and defend himself like a real Metahuman!
