Chapter 975: Grabbed by the Throat

Translator: Sean88888 Editor: Elkassar1

The Terminator was helplessly thrown into the air and was instantly turned into their punching bag!

Brother Black puffed on his cigar while he shot with one hand. He actions seemed careless, but Sanzi clearly saw all the bullets from the golden AK hit the same spot without fail. The spot that was hit emitted a blueish-white electrical current, seemingly trying to push the bullets out. A large amount of shattered wires and mechanical parts fell out from the hole.

At the same time, Zi sent a torrent of invisible shockwaves to the Terminator through the air using her crescent-shaped dagger. By the time the Terminator fell back down, it was already covered in wounds. Occasionally, a bluish-white electrical current more than a foot long would be emitted from its neck. When it moved, it did so with a noticeable limp and made a strange noise that was similar to the sound metal makes when it has been stretched to the limit and is about to break.

Sanzi seemed worried about Sheyan’s safety and was about to summon more creatures, but Zi stopped him with a look. “There’s no need.”

While Zi was saying this, she raised her slender and beautiful forefinger and rapidly sketched a mysterious symbol in the air. Anyone who saw that symbol would instinctively associate it with the microscopic world, as well as nuclear fission chain reactions!

Next, the symbol quickly reformed into a huge warhammer, which swept across the air and slammed into the steel body of the Terminator. Under the collective fire of Zi and Mogensha, the Terminator burst into a loud explosion!

The air was soon full of choking smoke and violent flames. Scattered parts clanked as they fell to the ground. The Terminator’s head, with the steel skull inside showing after its synthetic skin was torn, rolled towards them but was instantly kicked away by Reef. It exploded again when it hit the wall. That surprised Sheyan. He only knew the body of the T-800 had self-destructing capabilities. He didn’t expect that the T-750 model had already been incorporated with this technology.

The Terminators did not pose much trouble. However, the defensive qualities shown by Sanzi’s summoned snake were surprisingly high. During the fight, two Terminators managed to break through to the back, but with a flick of its tail, the Anaconda sent one of them flying. The other Terminator leaped and tried to kick Mogensha, but he ended up being bitten by the Anaconda and was thrown over 10 meters away.

These T-750 Terminators were no longer a threat to Sheyan and his party. All they managed to do was adding more smoke to the already smoky city of Los Angeles. Reef pushed a T-750 away with his shield and followed up with a claw while it was in the air. The claw tore off one of its thighs. Even so, the Terminator remained as ferocious as a trapped feral beast after it landed, continuing to attack even if it had to crawl to do so.

Mogensha whistled a tune as he walked over. Raising his gun calmly in one hand, he continuously pulled the trigger until the Terminator completely stopped fighting. Then, he casually kicked the broken body off the rooftop. The Terminator exploded during the fall.

Sanzi’s wish to control a T-750 could not be fulfilled because the bomb in their bodies were simply too dangerous.

The battlefield on the rooftop parking lot was filled with unquenched fire, as well as the black smoke from oil and plastic combustion. These black smoke interspersed in the air but did not dissipate. After the end of the battle, the black smoke transformed into lines of tiny words.

After receiving the mission, Sheyan stood silently for a moment, frowning.

“I’ve already paid to get the position of Sarah Connor. She’s not far from where we are, only about five kilometers in a straight line. But for some reason, I keep having a bad feeling.”

Zi walked to Sheyan’s side. “Maybe you’re just being overcautious?”

“No, I’m not. First of all, the Stockholm party should’ve been able to deduce that I’m going to enter the Terminator world sometime in the near future, and they know I would enter as an intruder.”

“Secondly, the world is built entirely on the experience of the rest of the contestants, so the others held an absolute geographical and social advantage!”

“More importantly, our entry into this world seems to have been delayed for a long time due to our strength, which means that if our enemies are here, they have plenty of time to lay down a trap!”

Hearing what Sheyan had to say, the others instantly became uneasy. Sheyan was about to move forward, but his expression – or, more precisely, the expression of every Ace Party member – turned dark! That’s because a warning had sprung up in blood-red fonts!

[ Warning! Warning! Important storyline character Kyle Reese, one of the targets you need to protect, the warrior from the future, the father of John Connor the Saviour, is gravely injured! ]

[ Warning! Warning! The death of this character will greatly affect the evaluation of your mission! ]

[ Warning! Warning! Kyle Reese is dead! ]

“FUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!” Sheyan cursed out loud. “This whole thing is a trap!”

Senyan immediately rushed downstairs while flinging curses, but he was still calm enough to issue an order.

“Mogensha and I will go first! Reef, protect Sanzi and follow us. Zi, do as you will. I trust in your judgement.”

Sen-yan quickly descended down the building’s fire exit. When he reached the 8th floor, he simply broke through the glass wall and jumped down, landing heavily amidst a rain of shattered glass. He broke his fall with a roll and got on a Harley motorcycle. The wind whipped Sheyan’s hair back as he sped away, but all he could feel were the chills running down his spine!

Mogensha quickly followed behind him. He hesitated for a moment but finally broke his silence in the party communication channel.

“Boss… The feeling I have now is very similar to the feeling in our previous world where we would find obstacles wherever we go. It felt as if there was a mastermind manipulating everything behind the scenes.”

“Okay, I know.” Sheyan’s words seemed to be squeezed out of the cracks in his teeth. He could feel a great pressure bearing down on him.

The pressure of an invisible hand grabbing him by the throat!

A suffocating pressure!

One that rendered them unable to fight back or even resist!

They quickly sped towards the hotel Sarah Connor was staying in. In no time at all, they were already less than a hundred metres away! But at this time, a cruel and merciless notification sounded.

[ Warning! Warning! Important storyline character Sarah Connor, one of the targets you need to protect, the mother of John Connor the Saviour, is gravely injured! ]
