Chapter 391 The Lucky Winner’s Dread

“Chairman Ye, now… We’re still facing a problem.” Chairman Ouyang, who had been silent for a while, said suddenly with a slightly worrying look. “It’s not a product issue, but a reputation issue.”His words made everyone frown. They showed the same sense of worry.

Because of the driverless car incident, Wanrong Technology’s reputation had been completely ruined. There was still negative news on the Internet from time to time, even until then. Even if Wanrong Technology created a product, it was likely that no one would buy it.

No matter how good the product was, if no one bought it, their efforts would go down the drain!

“Rome wasn’t built in a day. Public relations will take some time.” Ouyang Qing bit her lip rather helplessly.

“If you can’t sell it, give it away!”

Ye Lingchen waved his hand casually and said magnanimously, “First, let’s draw five hundred lucky winners, each of which will get one Little Cloud!”

His words made everyone’s eyes brighten. Chairman Xu looked at Ye Lingchen in amazement, “I can’t believe that Chairman Ye is a salesman. It really surprised me. Xu Nan, I’ll be very happy if you can learn at least something from your master.”

“Tch, my master specializes in Kung Fu. This is what I want to learn,” Xu Nan said directly, leaving Chairman Xu shaking his head helplessly.

Ye Lingchen did not care about anything else, while Wanrong Technology entered a busy period. Preparations were made and everything was set.

On that day, a piece of news about Wanrong Technology suddenly popped out. The content was naturally about the cleaning robot Little Cloud, accompanied by various pictures. There was also a link included at the end of that news, directing one to the website where Little Cloud could be purchased.

For a while, the news evoked memories hidden in people’s hearts.

[F*ck! How dare this kind of garbage company come out with a new product?]

[Damn, it looks like we weren’t harsh enough last time. Brothers and sisters, let’s continue to curse them! Scold until they go bankrupt!]

[F*CK, I’m gonna laugh myself to death. They’re no longer selling cars, but a garbage collecting robot? It matches you well!]

[Hahaha, I never imagined a formerly glorious company becoming like this. How miserable!]

[Isn’t Wanrong Technology under the Y Group? It’ll be awesome if this intelligent robot is amazing!]

[Upstairs, haven’t you learned the lesson from last time? Driverless technology is so awesome, but how many people were killed in the end?]

…

The internet exploded at once with insults, mockery, contempt, and various other negative comments. Besides, Wanrong Technology was acquired by a cosmetics shop, thereby further reducing its credibility.

The next moment, however, even more explosive news came, sending everyone into a frenzy.

[Oh f*ck! This is impressive! Everyone, click the link fast and look at the price of this so-called robot!]

[8848! Damn it! Robbery!]

[At present, even Dyson’s robots are less than 6,000, and they’re a big brand!]

[Crazy, Wanrong Technology is crazy! They’ve gone mad just thinking about money!]

[They’re treating all of us like fools! They want to take advantage. Who’s gave them such confidence?]

Without even mentioning Wanrong Technology’s terrible reputation, the price was enough to scare off many people even if Wanrong Technology’s reputation was still there!

At the same time, Wanrong Technology’s developments caught the eye of major technology leaders, who found it very amusing. The hype was all too typical, but the methods were very low quality and the effect was very poor. Wanrong Technology was no longer worthy of being their opponent!

In addition, many directors who sold their shares and left Wanrong Technology took note of that matter.

“Hahaha, Wanrong is getting worse by the day. They’re courting their own demise!”

“Isn’t that right? I’m glad I sold off all the shares. That Y Cosmetics is picking up the pieces, bwahahaha…”

“Ay, it’ all thanks to this cosmetics store. Otherwise, I would’ve lost even my pants. Let the two of us have a toast to celebrate!”

“They’re doing well as a cosmetics store, but they just had to buy a tech company. They’re rich and stupid. They’re good people for giving us money!”

…

Despite all their cursing, Wanrong Technology’s aims have been achieved. Many people paid attention to Wanrong Technology’s official website and criticized it.

Later, a big announcement appeared on the official website, and 500 lucky viewers have been drawn from those comments. They were poised to get a smart cleaning robot for free.

[What’s going on? I’ve cursed them with a f*ck and now they’re telling me I won a prize?]

[I also won the prize and an official has contacted me too. They’re not fooling anyone, are they?]

[I’m so worried that this kind of robot will explode. Should I accept this prize? What should I do now? Urgent.]

[Hahaha, you upstairs, don’t accept it. It’s a ticking time bomb!]

[Fortunately, I didn’t win the prize. No troubles in this regard, hahaha…]

The sudden prize-winning stunned everyone. There was no warning nor any sign, and everything went by so swiftly that many people’s prizes were delivered on the same day.

Little Ya was a white-collar worker in a company. She lived at Mo City under tremendous pressure. She had to scrape the barrel to get just enough for the down payment and bought a small house in Shanghai. She was also burdened with a huge mortgage.

On that day, however, Little Ya was in a particularly good mood because she won the prize.

Everything began with the news from Wanrong Technology. After seeing the smart cleaning robot, she felt that the introduction was awesome and so typed 666 under the comments. Unexpectedly, the goddess of luck patronized her and gave her one unit!

It should be known that more than half of her monthly salary went to her rental. She had other expenses as well and had almost no savings. At 8848, the official price of that robot was simply an unattainable dream for her.

Still, how could she not feel excited now that her dream had come true somehow?

When she got up in the morning, she turned on the robot and allowed it to clean her room, then happily went to work.

Her life would be much easier in the future. With that robot, at least she did not need to clean her house after getting off work. As she thought of that, she had already arrived at the company.

“Little Ya, what’s up with you today? You’re smiling so brilliantly?” a colleague asked.

Little Ya smiled slightly. “I won a prize!”

“Won a prize? It isn’t Wanrong Technology’s robot, is it?” her colleague asked. Everyone else came over too.

“Mm, that’s the one. Is there any problem?” Little Ya was puzzled.

“You dare to use Wanrong Technology’s stuff? Watch out for an explosion at home!”

“Little Ya, didn’t you know what happened last time? I’ll send you the link and you can read it yourself.”

“Many people who won the prize wouldn’t dare to use that robot for fear of burning their home.”

“Little Ya, you didn’t use it, did you? Don’t be cheap!”

Everyone’s remarks made Little Ya’s face paler and paler…
