Chapter 1484: Chapter 803 Ghost_2

At that time in the Valley of Ten Thousand Demons, the situation was urgent, and Mo Hua didn’t have time to think much.

Now, upon careful reflection, there seems to be a significant problem here.

A ’Sword Demon,’ even in his eyes, is like an ant, an evil spirit he could crush to death at will. But in some sense, it has shifted from the Human Dao to the ’Ghost Path,’ avoiding true death and Dao extinction.

If it were that easy to choose, a vast number of Cultivators would willingly become ’Sword Demons’ after death.

But clearly, there’s no such good fortune.

Most Cultivators die and it’s simply final.

This Sword Bone, there’s something wrong…

Within the White Bone Broken Sword, the Sword Bone was somewhat trembling.

Being close to the ruler is like being close to a tiger.

Especially, this tiger is not only powerful and fierce but also has a mindset near an evil monster.

The Sword Bone’s voice was hoarse, trying to stay calm as it said:

“Answering Young Master’s question, in the Valley of Ten Thousand Demons, there was no daylight, and I only harbored a faint hope in the dire situation, thinking that if by any chance, becoming a Sword Demon was also a path to survival.”

“In the end, through a fortunate coincidence, I was killed by you, Young Master, and my Divine Soul entered the White Bone Broken Sword, successfully transforming into a Sword Demon. I believe it was due to the good fortune bestowed by you, Little Young Master.”

“Without you, Little Young Master, I might not have walked this path. Perhaps when breaking through the Golden Core, I would have vanished completely, leaving no remains…”

The Sword Bone subtly flattered Mo Hua.

Mo Hua’s gaze was somewhat intriguing, but he didn’t ask much further, instead saying:

“Do you know… how can a person turn into a ’ghost’?”

The Sword Bone did not wish to answer.

It was uncertain how much Mo Hua knew about this Ghost Path and feared that if it slipped up, Mo Hua might detect something.

Yet clearly it couldn’t remain silent either.

The Sword Bone hesitated slightly, then slowly said:

“Cultivators due to special circumstances lose their bodies, but their Divine Sense lingers, over time becoming ghosts.”

“Ghosts covet human bodies, especially those of close kin.”

“If there are no close kin, then masters, peers, Taoist friends, anyone related to them, anyone with their memories, will become their prey.”

“They will parasitize these people, devouring their Divine Thoughts, and after consuming them, they will seek the next host to continue devouring.”

“And those parasitized by ghosts will undergo drastic changes in temperament, lose their senses, and once their Divine Sense is completely devoured by the ghost, they will perish…”

…

The Sword Bone nervously finished these words.

Mo Hua nodded slightly.

The words of the Sword Bone were similar to what Lord Yellow Mountain had said.

“Are there any special circumstances?” Mo Hua asked again.

“Special circumstances?”

“For example…” Mo Hua thought of the saying from ’Cultivation Taboos,’ “If a person tragically dies with deep resentful energy, they can become the fiercest of ghosts…”

Tragic death…

The Sword Bone’s expression turned grim, nodding, “Yes.”

It thought for a moment, then truthfully said: “Anything has exceptions, and so does the Ghost Path. Some people cultivate the Ghost Path, willingly becoming Ghost Cultivators; some lose their bodies, becoming ghosts out of necessity; some meet bad luck, becoming possessed by evil objects, turning into evil spirits…”

“But these are usual cases.”

“The extreme case is ’tragic death,’ where a cultivator in life suffers tremendous torment and pain, harboring great resentment and hatred. Dying tragically like this transforms them into evil ghosts, fierce ghosts, murderous ghosts, fierce ghosts, and other formidable spirits.”

“These fierce ghosts are far stronger than ordinary evil spirits, their resentment extremely intense, making their killing terrifying.”

Mo Hua furrowed his brow.

These things, Lord Yellow Mountain seemed to have never mentioned.

He turned his head, quietly glancing at the White Bone Broken Sword in his hand.

This Sword Bone seems to know quite a lot…

“Alright, you’re dismissed.”

Mo Hua said, then complemented the Divine Lock Array, sealing the Sword Bone again.

In the White Bone Sword, the Sword Bone let out a long sigh of relief.

While a hint of worry clouded Mo Hua’s brow.

“It’s not good…”

If it were truly like this, could it be that Senior Sister Ye Jin intended to die tragically, harboring resentment, and transform into a ghost, which is why she set a fire, burning herself alive.

Enduring such pain, all for becoming a fierce ghost.

But transforming into a ghost is not that simple.

If she did not become a fierce ghost, all is well; if she truly transformed, she might start “devouring” humans.

And she did not die in the Ye family but in the Hundred Flower Valley.

Inside the Hundred Flower Valley are her fellow sisters with whom she shared bonds.

Even if she does not wish it, driven by the fierce ghost’s instinct, she will begin to possess bodies, search for Divine Sense to devour.

It’s even very likely, she is already “possessed”…

Mo Hua’s expression was grave.

…

The next day, was the scheduled rest day.

Mo Hua arranged to meet Hua Qianqian and roughly explained the situation.

He did not mention the ghost matter, only said:

“Senior Sister Ye Jin’s manner of death is somewhat strange, with residual deep resentment likely to breed evil thoughts. There might be frightening incidents occurring in the Hundred Flower Valley…”

Mo Hua originally thought he would have to spend more effort explaining.

Unexpectedly, Hua Qianqian’s face turned pale upon hearing this, trembling as she said:

“Yes, Junior Brother, you’re right!”

Mo Hua’s heart sank.

Hua Qianqian continued: “These days, the sisters who were closer to Sister Jin Er often feel restless, occasionally even experiencing nightmares at night. They dream of Senior Sister Ye Jin with a ghastly pale face, devoid of blood, staring quietly at them, saying things like ’so dirty,’ ’can’t live anymore.’

“After a while, karmic fire rises in the nightmare.”

“Sister Jin Er just stands in the sea of flames, burnt beyond recognition, looking like a monster…”

Hua Qianqian’s expression was filled with both fear and heartache.
